The Raven’s Flock is a Unique Perching Staff in Path of Exile 2 and the dedicated weapon for Minion-focused Witch and Sorceress builds. About PoE 2 The Raven’s Flock
The Raven’s Flock addresses the two fundamental constraints of Minion builds in Path of Exile 2 simultaneously from the weapon slot — output and capacity. Most Minion weapons in the game address one or the other: a weapon might provide strong Minion damage without helping Spirit efficiency, or Spirit efficiency without meaningful Minion damage scaling. The Raven’s Flock provides 80–120% increased Minion damage and 30–50% increased Spirit Reservation Efficiency together, making both the individual minions stronger and the total minion count the Spirit pool can support simultaneously higher.
The Spirit Reservation Efficiency bonus is the more strategically distinctive of the two effects. Spirit in Path of Exile 2 is the resource that limits how many persistent skills — minions, auras, persistent buffs — the character can maintain simultaneously. Each minion skill reserves a fixed amount of Spirit, and the total Spirit pool determines the cap on concurrent reservations. A 50% increase in Reservation Efficiency means every minion skill costs proportionally less Spirit — a skill that would cost 100 Spirit now costs approximately 67, meaning the same Spirit pool that previously supported three minion types can now support more than four. This compounds multiplicatively with passive tree investment in Spirit and Spirit Efficiency, making The Raven’s Flock a scaling multiplier on total minion count rather than a flat addition.
Gruelling Madness is the debuff mechanic that makes the staff’s damage bonus translate into sustained crowd control as well. Each minion hit has a 10–20% chance to inflict Gruelling Madness — a status that disorients and disrupts affected enemies. In builds with many minions attacking rapidly, the collective hit frequency across the entire minion army generates consistent Gruelling Madness applications across large groups without requiring any dedicated debuff skill investment, adding a control layer that compounds with the damage increase naturally.
