Apophic Soul Crusher is the Season 2 Delve mount tied exclusively to defeating Azta’rec, the Nemesis of Venomfall Deeps, in his lair on Tier ?? difficulty without any other players in your party. This is not a drop-chance item — it is a direct reward from the Let Me Solo Him: Azta’rec achievement, which requires a clean solo kill of the highest Nemesis difficulty tier before Midnight Season 3 begins. There is no other source for the mount, and once Season 2 ends it becomes permanently unobtainable.
Azta’rec is a mechanically demanding solo encounter that punishes unfamiliarity heavily. His kit centres on Noxious Bile, a cone poison attack that stacks Ula’tek’s Gift and creates persistent pools on Tier ??, Sermon of Ula’Tek, which fires waves of venom in a pattern for up to 17 seconds at a time, and Summon Echo of Azta’rec, which spawns a copy of himself that must be prioritised immediately. The Ula’tek’s Gift stacks function as a soft enrage — the longer the fight runs, the more the DoT accelerates toward a death spiral, demanding fast and clean execution rather than a sustained war of attrition.
On top of the mount, completing the Tier ?? kill within the first week of Season 2 also earns the Fabled Vanquisher of Azta’rec Feat of Strength and permanent title — an entirely separate reward with its own time gate that disappears after Week 1, regardless of how much of Season 2 remains.
