Guest Relations Day 12 Progress – Start of Chapter 3 in the Main Storyline (SPOILER)

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone and welcome to another InstantCarry blog post. Day 12 of Guest Relations begins with the start of Chapter 3 in the main storyline, and players are tasked with searching for pirate-themed items across Azeroth. Communities like the WoW Secret Finding Discord are actively hunting for additional clues related to this event. Players who wish to join the search can jump in and be part of the mystery-solving experience!

Completing the quest Pirate Foods and Superstitions rewards players with 5 Bronze Celebration Tokens.

Chapter 3 Day 1: Quest Overview – Pirate Foods and Superstitions

The day kicks off with Alyx offering the quest A Pirate Predicament. She explains that a group of Booty Bay Buccaneers has set up a camp just north of the Celebration area. Although Alyx doesn’t see pirates as a direct threat, their unpredictable nature warrants a check-in. In the camp, players meet Bonenose, who shares that they lost their cook, Cooktholomew, to the sea. Bonenose reminisces about the lucky feast Cooktholomew prepared before every voyage and sends players to Booty Bay to track down the original recipe.

Note: Currently, players who are hostile with Booty Bay cannot interact with certain NPCs like Kelsey Yance and Mrs. Gant, effectively locking them out of this quest.

The Search for Cooktholomew’s Recipe

In Booty Bay, the first step is to speak with Kelsey Yance, a cook located in the Old Port Authority area. Kelsey reveals that he and Cooktholomew once shared bunk beds. Following this lead, players head to the bunk building in Booty Bay (bottom level of one of the multi-level buildings) to retrieve Cooktholomew’s Boonful Banquet recipe under the bunk.

If Kelsey Yance is unavailable, players can speak with Mrs. Gant, who can also help locate Cooktholomew’s belongings.

Deciphering Cooktholomew’s Notes

Cooktholomew’s recipe, however, is cryptic. To make sense of it, players bring the notes to Scowling Rosa, a known puzzle solver patrolling the main docks of Booty Bay. Players can locate her using a /target macro. Rosa notes that the recipe appears to be written in a substitution cipher, and she suggests returning the next day to check on her progress.
