What is Arcane: League of Legend Series about?

The highly praised animated series “Arcane,” is based on the lore of the popular real-time strategy PC game League of Legends. It took the streaming world by storm upon its release in 2021. The Series gathered widespread acclaim, and quickly cemented its status as one of Netflix‘s standouts of the year. It simply dazzled everyone with its rich storytelling and stunning animation.

“Arcane” not only captured the hearts of viewers, but also earned three prestigious Emmy Awards and eight Annie Awards. Its success marked a triumphant moment for everyone who had awaited its arrival for years.

At the heart of “Arcane” lies the gripping tale of two sisters, Vi and Jinx, whose once-close bond is shattered as they find themselves on opposing sides of a violent conflict between the opulent city of Piltover and the gritty underbelly of Zaun. Set against a backdrop of magic, technology, and politics, the series dives into themes of betrayal, redemption, and the complex dynamics of family, love and loyalty.

Voiced by the talented Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell, Vi and Jinx’s journey is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with explosive action sequences, heart-wrenching drama, and unexpected twists and turns. And amidst the chaos, viewers are introduced to a colorful cast of characters, including the ingenious inventor Heimerdinger.

With good storytelling and beyond amazing action sequences “Arcane” struck a chord with audiences worldwide. This meant that Netflix had no time to waste in renewing the series for a highly anticipated Arcane Season 2. As everyone eagerly awaits on the return of Vi and Jinx’s, “Arcane” remains a shining example of the power of storytelling in the realm of animation. Just watching the trailer gives back the chills, memories and makes you want more.

How long was Arcane Season 1 in development?

It is completely nuts to imagine that making Season 1 took an astonishing 6 YEARS. If you haven’t seen Season 1 yet, we highly recommend that you do that. Thankfully, the production period for Arcane Season 2, even though it’s a pain to wait so long, when you think about it, it’s only half the time it took to make Season 1.

Naturally, our anticipation will only deepen the desire to see Arcane Season 2, so maybe it’s just not a bad thing. Many People are saying they want it fast, but at the end of the day, if the quality is not at least up to 80% of what Season 1 was, we’d be disappointed. So I say, lets wait as long as we need, but make it juicy and good as now we have high expectations!

However, we won’t have to wait much longer!

League of Legends Arcane Season 2 Release Date

After much anticipation, and more than ‘a bit’ of wait time and with high expectations we are finally given a release date. Arcane Season 2 is set to release in November 2024. November seems like a great month for the Arcane Series and seeing how November was the month when Season 1 was released back in 2021, it’s only natural to have them do it again for Season 2.

Lets just hope that ‘chasing’ the deadline doesn’t ruin the quality of the Series, and lets hope that there are no more delays! To make things even better, here’s a small teaser to remind us of the world of Arcane: League of Legends!

Arcane Season 2 First Look – Teaser (Video)

It’s been more than 2 years when we got the announcement(video) of Arcane Season 2 being in development. This teaser is so much more than just a ‘tease’ for People. It actually lets us know that we are really close to finally going back into the world of Arcane and getting into it’s Season 2.

What info can we draw from the teaser? (Spoiler)

In this first video after a long time, we can come to a couple of conclusions. Here we witness Singed, the sinister doctor that is engaged is what seems to be a medical procedure, but it’s still unknown what exactly he is doing there. Is he in the middle of a blood transfusion, or extraction? Maybe both at the same time considering the amount of tubes we saw. During that act, he is constantly checking his pocket watch and at the last second we hear a sound and when he looks up wee see a dark figure.

What peaked our interest is the grotesque monstrosity that is hanging there above him, chained and while the exact nature of the transformation is not known, we can only assume as many others that the figure hanging up there is Vander, who is the adoptive father of Vi and Jinx. However, after his fate was tragically sealed in Arcane Season 1, many believe that this will be his potential resurrection as Warwick.

Arcane Season 1 Cliffhanger (Spoiler)

At the end of Season 1, we were left on the edge of our seats with a cliffhanger, as the explosive destruction of the Piltover council chamber is sure to have far-reaching consequences for the characters involved. Netflix has confirmed the return of key characters such as Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), Jinx (voiced by Ella Purnell), and Caitlyn (voiced by Katie Leung).

However, the fate of those present in the council chamber at the time of the explosion—including Jayce, Viktor, Mel, Hoskel, Cassandra, Bolbok, Shoola, and Salo—remains uncertain. With the stakes higher than ever, we can only anticipate and hope for a thrilling journey ahead as the story of “Arcane” continues to unfold in Season 2. Hopefully it will reveal new twists, betrayals, and revelations along the way.

What are Arcane Docuseries?

Arcane Docuseries are a 20-30 minute long documentary videos that were released on Youtube, and they are called “Arcane: Bridging the Rift” Series. They are completely free and they mostly focus on the production of the Series itself, as well as talk about how they animated everything, how the music was done and basically give a lot of background information from the studio.

This was done by Riot Games due to the huge wait time on Arcane Season 2, they wanted to give something during the November 2024 ‘wait period’. You can watch all of the docuseries here:
