Season of Discovery Phase 5: New Epic Items for All Classes – DISCOVERED
INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone and welcome to another InstantCarry blog post. Phase 5 is well under-way and we are currently diving into what you can expect from it. There were many new additions regarding World Buff Changes, Runes, New Dungeons, Raids and Thunderaan as the World Boss, but on top of that, we get New Questlines and many interesting items for each Class.
In Season of Discovery Phase 5, players have been treated to an exciting new quest chain for each class, with a reward of a powerful, class-specific item. The discovery of these epic weapons and gear marks a significant moment in this phase, and the last puzzle piece has finally fallen into place: Warriors have now acquired the long-awaited Suzerain, Defender of the Dragonflights.
Each class’s quest chain kicks off with an item that drops from a boss in Blackwing Lair, but from there, the paths to these items diverge wildly, offering unique challenges and lore-rich experiences for each class. Let’s dive into the details for each of these epic class quests.
SoD New Questlines and All Epic Items for every Class (Image)
Druid: Gla’sir and Rae’lar
The Druid questline is among the more straightforward, with only two quests involved. The bulk of this chain occurs in Winterspring, where Druids must solve three riddles to summon and defeat the formidable Nandieb. These riddles emphasize the Druidic connection to nature and the wild, making the journey as rewarding as the weapons themselves: Gla’sir and Rae’lar.

Hunter: Peregrine and Kestrel
For Hunters, the focus is on their survivalist nature. Their SoD New Questline is one of the longest, spanning multiple zones, including Moonglade, Wintergrasp, Silithus, and Un’goro Crater. Along the way, players will face a unique challenge: an overnight camping trip in Winterspring, truly testing their patience and resilience. The reward? The twin weapons, Peregrine and Kestrel.

Mage: Staff of Order, Staff of Inferno, and Staff of Rime
The Mage class receives not one, but three powerful staves: Staff of Order, Staff of Inferno, and Staff of Rime. Their SoD New Questline revolves around the Comprehension Charm, an artifact used to unscramble riddles. Mages will travel to locations such as Burning Steppes and Winterspring, where they must gather and restore depleted essences representing different arcane elements.
You can find the full guide on how to obtain these staves in this guide.
Paladin: Truthbearer
The Paladin SoD New Questline is among the most lore-rich in Phase 5. It takes players through both the Eastern and Western Plaguelands, with detours to Winterspring and Demon Fall Canyon. This chain closely ties into Paladin lore, especially surrounding Uther’s life and legacy. Though lengthy, the reward, Truthbearer, or Truthbearer is well worth the effort for any Paladin who dares to walk this sacred path.

Priest: Cassandra’s Tome
Instead of a weapon or off-hand item, Priests receive a powerful trinket called Cassandra’s Tome. This is likely due to the existing presence of Benediction and Anathema. The questline involves collecting several runes from high-level mobs across Azeroth and grants a significant boost to any Priest’s power, despite not adding to their arsenal.
Details on obtaining this amazing trinket can be found in this guide.
Rogue: Dream Eater
Rogues were the first to complete their epic questline, as it is one of the most straightforward in Phase 5. Taking place in the familiar territory of Ravenholdt, the quest involves a great deal of stealth and subterfuge, requiring players to remain undetected for long periods. The end goal is the amazing Dream Eater, a weapon designed for those with a true mastery of stealth.
The way of obtaining this is quite simple, but check this guide if you are unsure.
Shaman: Terrestris
For Shamans, the epic reward is not a weapon but a shield called Terrestris or Terrestris, which can transform based on your specialization. Depending on whether you play as a tank or a healer/Elemental Shaman, this shield will adapt, offering increased flexibility and utility. Much like Priests, Shamans do not need a weapon to showcase their power in this phase.
You can read this guide to find more information on how to obtain Terrestis.
Warlock: Scythe of Chaos
The Warlock SoD New questline is steeped in the dark art of soul collection. Warlocks will journey across Eastern Plaguelands, collecting souls from demons and other beings to empower their scythe. The final test takes place under the guidance of Doan Karhan, and the reward, the Scythe of Chaos, is as formidable as its ominous name suggests.

Warrior: Suzerain, Defender of the Dragonflights
Finally, the Warrior questline has been completed, allowing players to claim the Suzerain, Defender of the Dragonflights. This quest takes Warriors back into Blackwing Lair to face Nefarian, from whom they must retrieve a scale. This scale is then hardened with Shadowflame in an attempt to recreate the legendary Dragon Soul. This is a fitting reward for the mightiest of fighters, solidifying Warriors as the champions of the Dragonflights.
