WoW Classic Fresh Ahn’Qiraj War Effort Release Date and More!

INTRODUCTION

The War Effort Begins on July 10 at 3:00 pm PDT!

Get ready,  Phase 5 of WoW Classic Fresh is upon us, and it’s bringing the epic Ahn’Qiraj content to the forefront. Beginning on July 10, the War Effort kicks off, where both the Horde and Alliance must collaborate to gather massive resources to unlock the gates of Ahn’Qiraj and open up the Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj and Temple of Ahn’Qiraj raids. The race to be the first to ring the Scarabs Gong will begin, with the coveted Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal mount as the ultimate reward!

Join the War Effort

On July 10, each faction must contribute to a colossal War Effort by gathering large quantities of supplies and materials. These resources will then be delivered to Silithus, where the efforts of both factions will culminate in the opening of the gates. The effort requires five days of work before players can start the process of ringing the gong.

Materials and Supplies

Head to Field Marshal Snowfall (for Alliance players) in Ironforge, or Warlord Gorchuk (for Horde players) in Orgrimmar to turn in your Commendations. Players can also monitor the War Effort progress and see the supplies their faction still needs. If it takes too long, automatic submissions of supplies will kick in after 15 days to help ensure the gates open on time for everyone.

Bang a Gong!

The iconic “Bang a Gong!” event is the moment of glory! Once you’ve completed the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline, one lucky player will be able to complete the “Bang a Gong!” quest and unlock the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj for the entire server. The first player to complete this quest will be announced across the zone in Silithus.

Ten-Hour War

After ringing the gong, a Ten-Hour War will begin. Players will have 10 hours to finish any remaining quests and earn rare rewards, including the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal mount. Only the first player to ring the gong will receive the mount.

If you didn’t manage to ring the gong in time, don’t worry—you can still earn special rewards by completing the “Treasures of the Timeless One” quest, including powerful weapons from the following choices:

• Fang of Korialstrasz (MH Dagger)

• Shadowsong’s Sorrow (1H Dagger)

• Runesword of the Red (MH Sword)

• Ravencrest’s Legacy (1H Sword)

Behind the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj

Once the gates are opened, two massive raids—Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (20-player) and Temple of Ahn’Qiraj (40-player)—will be accessible to players. Delve deeper into the mysteries of Silithid infestation and their shadowy masters, the Qiraji.

Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (20-player Raid)

Both raids are level 60 and have a Cenarion Circle reputation requirement.

Two New Class Armor Sets in WoW Classic Fresh Ahn’Qiraj

In the Ahn’Qiraj raids, you’ll have the opportunity to earn two new class armor sets by defeating powerful bosses and gaining reputation with Cenarion Circle (for Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj) and Brood of Nozdormu (for Temple of Ahn’Qiraj). Work your way through the raids, gather Qiraji Tokens, and collect class-specific Idols and Scarabs to build your Tier 2.5 Raid Set.
