More info
Mal Rune is the 23rd rune in Diablo 2 Resurrected and one of the first entries in the high rune tier — which begins at Mal by the game’s own classification. It can drop from The Countess on Hell difficulty as an extra rune, from the Hell Hellforge quest as a possible reward, and can be created via the Horadric Cube recipe combining 2 Um Runes and 1 Normal Topaz in single-player, open, or ladder games. Two Mal Runes combine with a Normal Amethyst to produce an Ist Rune, placing it in the upgrade chain toward the mid-to-high rune tier. Mal’s broad runeword presence — fourteen recipes spanning weapons, armor, and missile weapons — keeps it in consistent demand throughout every season and game mode.
Why Mal Is One of the Most Used High Runes in D2R
Mal’s value is driven by its simultaneous presence in three of the most important runewords for physical damage builds — Call to Arms for the Battle Orders swap, Grief for the premier melee weapon, and Infinity for the Act 2 mercenary. Building all three in a single character requires three Mal Runes before factoring in any other uses. Beyond the physical damage archetype, Mal appears in Beast for Barbarian and Paladin summon builds, in Last Wish for high-end melee setups, and in Wrath for bow builds — covering virtually every major playstyle in the game. Its Prevent Monster Heal weapon property also makes single socketing a Mal into a weapon a practical solution for players who haven’t yet completed a full runeword but need to handle regenerating enemies in Hell difficulty.

The boost service was really good. In less than an hour, they took me from level 64 to 77 in Path of Exile 2. Everything started very quickly, with no unnecessary waiting, and the leveling process was smooth and efficient. Communication was clear, and the service delivered exactly what was promised. I’m very satisfied with the result.
