Craze of the Dead God Mechanics Explained
The conversion mechanic on Craze of the Dead God changes the fundamental nature of how your Spiritborn takes damage. Normally, a direct hit reduces your health immediately. With these gloves equipped, that same hit doesn’t remove health in one instant — instead the damage is spread out as a Poison effect over 10 seconds. This matters because it gives you time to respond. A hit that would have deleted a large chunk of your health in one frame instead becomes a DoT that you can potentially outlast, heal through, or mitigate while it ticks down.
The roll range on the modifier is worth understanding correctly. The 30–0% number describes how much the converted Poison damage is amplified beyond the original hit. At 30%, the Poison deals 30% more total damage than the direct hit would have — so you’re taking more total damage but spread out. At 0%, the conversion is exactly 1:1 with no amplification. For survivability-focused builds, a lower roll is actually safer because less total poison damage is applied. For Poison damage builds that want to use the converted damage as a source of DoT output, a higher roll produces more total Poison damage on the target.
The Lucky Hit component ties the gloves into the Touch of Death loop. Every direct hit you take has up to a 25% chance to infect an enemy with Touch of Death, and that chance scales with how much of your life is currently Poisoned — meaning the more active Poison you’re carrying from conversions, the more frequently Touch of Death gets applied to enemies around you. This creates a loop where taking hits and converting them to Poison feeds the infection rate, which applies Touch of Death, which can then spread further Poison through other Centipede spirit interactions.
Why Buy Craze of the Dead God
Getting Craze of the Dead God through normal farming means grinding Echo of Varshan with no guaranteed timeline, and with affixes now randomized in Lord of Hatred, landing both a useful secondary stat roll and the right conversion modifier value takes longer than it used to. Our delivery service skips that entirely — you pick your configuration, we trade the item directly to your character, and you can start converting incoming hits into Poison and spreading Touch of Death right away.
