Flesh of Abaddon is a Warlock-exclusive Set Charm collection introduced with the Lord of Hatred expansion, built entirely around the Demonform transformation mechanic. Equipped through the Talisman system, the set causes you to rapidly gain Infernal Hunger stacks while in Demonform at two pieces — each stack increases the damage you take by 0.5%, but killing enemies or hitting Bosses converts those stacks into Demonic Strength, each granting 2% increased damage for 20 seconds. At three pieces, Demonform increases your Maximum Life by 10% and each Demonic Strength stack provides 0.2% additional Maximum Life. The result is a high-risk, high-reward loop that rewards aggressive Demonform play — rapidly building Infernal Hunger through combat, then converting it into stacking damage and survivability bonuses that compound throughout the transformation window. For Vanguard and Demonform-focused Warlock builds, Flesh of Abaddon is the defining Talisman set in Season 13. Flesh of Abaddon captures the Warlock’s identity perfectly — power drawn from suffering and risk. The set’s two-phase mechanic mirrors the class’s philosophy of extracting strength from darkness: Infernal Hunger represents the cost of embracing full Demonform, the danger of losing yourself to the transformation. Demonic Strength is the payoff, the amplified power earned by surviving and fighting through that danger.
The conversion mechanic rewards aggressive, kill-focused Demonform play. Passive or defensive play in Demonform accumulates Infernal Hunger without converting it, increasing incoming damage without generating the Demonic Strength payoff. Active combat — chasing kills in dense packs, staying on Bosses for consistent hits — keeps the conversion loop running and transforms the risk into a sustained damage multiplier that stacks well above what static damage bonuses can provide.
The three-piece Maximum Life scaling from Demonic Strength creates a second feedback loop on top of the damage one. Higher Demonic Strength stack counts increase both your damage output and your maximum health pool simultaneously, making Flesh of Abaddon builds progressively more durable as they perform better in combat — a design that rewards skilled aggressive play with both offensive and defensive returns.
At higher Torment tiers where the 0.5% per Infernal Hunger stack damage amplification becomes a genuine threat before conversion, survivability investment becomes necessary.
