Scepter of the Three is named after the three Prime Evils — Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal — the ruling trinity whose combined power defined the greatest threats Sanctuary has ever faced. The name frames the weapon’s identity directly: it does not channel the power of one demonic lord but three, and its mechanic reflects this by granting access to not one but all of the Warlock’s Ultimate Skills simultaneously, drawing on the full breadth of demonic power at once.
The 15 free ranks on all four Ultimates is the build-enabling component that the raw damage stacking depends on. Ultimates scale significantly with rank — their damage, duration, and effect potency all increase per rank. Fifteen free ranks on each Ultimate means all four are operating near the top of their base scaling before any gear or Paragon investment is applied. Combined with the stacking 80–100% damage bonus that builds between activations, the weapon creates a system where every Ultimate cast is both highly ranked and arrives charged with the accumulated attack bonus from the preceding gap period.
The Chains of Horazon charm set interaction identified by Icy Veins adds a third dimension for Abaddon Summoner builds. Chains of Horazon provides Demonology-focused bonuses that compound with the stacking Ultimate damage from Scepter of the Three — demon summons receive the Demonology multipliers while Ultimate Skill activations deliver the accumulated stacking bonus simultaneously, creating a build that benefits from both systems through the same Talisman slot.
