What is the Xol Rune and How Does It Work
Runes in Diablo 4 come in three rarity tiers — Magic, Rare, and Legendary. Legendary Runes offer the strongest effects and the most powerful Runeword combinations. The Xol Rune is a Legendary Rune of Ritual, meaning it generates Offering when its condition is met. Pair it with a Rune of Invocation in a two-socket item — available on Chest pieces, Legs, Two-Handed weapons, and Helms — and the Invocation Rune will consume that Offering to trigger its effect.
What Can You Craft With the Xol Rune
The Xol Rune is a required ingredient for crafting the Mythic Unique item The Grandfather. The recipe requires 1 Resplendent Spark, 10 Xol, 10 Kaa, 10 Yax, and 5,000 Gold.

How to Craft Runewords
Crafting a Runeword requires combining one Rune of Ritual and one Rune of Invocation in an item with two sockets. Eligible item slots include Chest pieces, Legs, Two-Handed weapons, and Helms. The Ritual Rune generates Offering when its condition is met, and the Invocation Rune spends that Offering to activate its effect.
