Stat Distribution
Put enough points into Strength to equip your gear—Enigma’s strength bonus covers most requirements. Dexterity stays at base since this build doesn’t benefit from attack rating and it doesn’t increase weapon claw block. Dump everything else into Vitality for maximum life. Energy stays untouched since Mosaic’s mechanics + Cobra strike handle mana sustain.

- Claws of Thunder – 20 points (lightning synergy)

Mercenary Setup
Act 2 Nightmare Offensive (Might Aura)
Might aura boosts physical damage, but the real power comes from Infinity’s Conviction aura which shreds enemy resistances across all three elements—fire, lightning, and cold—making Phoenix Strike hit significantly harder. Best in slot mercenary items are:
- Cure – Cleansing aura removes curses and poison, essential for Chaos Sanctuary and dangerous Terror Zones
- Chains of Honor (eth) – Massive resistances, life leech, +2 skills, and damage reduction for survivability
- Infinity (eth) – Conviction aura reduces enemy fire, lightning, and cold resistances, amplifying all three elements of Phoenix Strike simultaneously
How to Play
The Mosaic Assassin revolves around building all available charges and releasing them with finishing moves. Each charge of Phoenix Strike adds a different elemental effect—fire on the first charge, lightning on the second, and cold on the third. The Mosaic runeword preserves your charges when you release them, letting you maintain all three elements at once.
Basic gameplay loop:
- Prebuff with Call to Arms for Battle Orders, Battle Command
- Activate Fade
- Build two charges of Phoenix Strike on any target, then build blades of ice, fists or fire, cobra strike, fists of thunder x3
- Use Dragon Talon to release all three elemental explosions while keeping your charges
- Continue attacking—Mosaic keeps your charges active so you maintain triple-element damage
- Reposition with Enigma’s Teleport
Tips:
- Keep all charges up at all times—Mosaic’s charge preservation is the entire point of the build (charges expire after 15 seconds of non-attacking)
- Your mercenary’s Infinity affects all three elements, making this build extremely versatile against any monster type
- In 8-player games, position yourself in dense packs to maximize Phoenix Strike’s AoE overlap
