About Netherwing Reputation
Netherwing is the reputation grind that defines Phase 3 of The Burning Crusade for most players who pursue it. The faction’s entire structure is built around the fantasy of infiltrating a Dragon Kin operation on behalf of Nether Dragons who want to be free — an undercover storyline that is both narratively compelling and mechanically demanding. Players adopt a disguise, take on Dragonmaw grunt assignments, build trust through daily missions, and eventually earn the Netherwing’s alliance and their freedom.
The daily quest structure scales with reputation tier — each new standing unlocks additional daily quests that increase the total reputation available per reset. Early tiers have fewer dailies available, while Honored and above unlock the full rotation including Booterang, Nethercite Ore, Netherdust Pollen, and other specialized assignments across the ledge and the two mines. Combined with consistent Netherwing Egg hunting, an optimized daily session provides significantly more reputation per reset than players who complete only the most visible quests.
On TBC Anniversary servers, competition for Netherwing Eggs can be fierce during peak hours, making spawn knowledge and efficient routing the difference between finding multiple eggs per session and finding none.
