Single-boss raids attract a lot of interest from players who don’t normally raid Heroic, precisely because the time commitment looks small. One boss, one kill, done. In practice, the first few weeks of any Heroic boss are defined by learning wipes, not clean kills. Groups form through LFG, spend thirty minutes wiping, and disband. Players leave mid-pull, blame healers, or show up undergeared. The encounter may be one boss, but the mechanics don’t care how many bosses are in the instance — Heroic tuning still demands coordinated execution.
