Seneschal Companions
Take in the might of the Loom by acquiring your own Seneschal Companion, a crucial addition available in the Seasonal Questline. In alignment with Zoltun’s vision, the Seneschal complements your adventures by actively participating in combat or providing dedicated support from the sidelines.
Through the use of magical Governing and Tuning Stones, obtained from the Vaults and various locations in Sanctuary, customize your Seneschal to align with your desired build for the Season of the Construct. Governing Stones dictate the attacks your Seneschal can execute, while Tuning Stones enhance these skills and offer increased utility.
How many Governing and Tuning Stones can I equip in my Seneschal?
You can have a total of 8 Stones equipped at any one time. Your Seneschal with 2 Governing Stones and 6 Tuning Stones, assigning one Governing stone per attack and three Tuning Stones to enhance the ability. Upon entering the Vault, provided you convert the necessary Pearls of Warding, you can receive Zoltun’s Warding—a unique layered blessing that grants access to the Vaults’ treasures. This blessing diminishes in stacks if you succumb to the Hazards scattered within the Vaults.
Should you successfully maintain Zoltun’s Warding after defeating the Vault Boss, you’ll unlock a Wardwoven Chest, which has a higher chance of containing Legendary items. Using Pearls of Warding can heighten the risk by exchanging them for extra stacks of Zoltun’s Warding at the Vault entrance. Succeeding in this risky venture will correspondingly increase your Reward.
At World Tier III, Nightmare Vaults become available. Vault Sigils can be obtained alongside typical Nightmare Dungeon Sigils or crafted, requiring Pearls of Warding for creation. These Vaults operate similarly to Nightmare Dungeons, featuring deadly Constructs and Hazards throughout, along with the Wardwoven Chests!
New Events: Arcane Tremors
Arcane Tremors are the new overworld events in Diablo 4 Season 3 that occur in certain areas across the map for a limited amount of time. These events are expected to be equivalent to the Blood Harvest from Season 2, and instead of Vampires, you will need to take on Constructs.
However, just defeating every Construct enemy around you is not enough as you will also have to collect Arcane Tremor Cores from the Obelisks around the area. This will enable you to attract new and stronger enemies to move to the next stage. Once you have collected the required number of Arcane Tremor Cores in Diablo 4 Season 3, deposit them at a brazier to summon the final boss of the event, Herald of Malphas. This will be a powerful Construct boss that you will need to defeat in the given time to complete the event.
As there will be new dungeons called Vaults, and a leaderboard system, taking part in Arcane Tremors is an important activity that you must indulge in.
New Challenge: The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet in Diablo 4 is a brand new end-game activity that’s set to go live in Season 3. There’s also a Leaderboard that’s tied to the activity. A new challenge arrives later in Season of the Construct. Fight through The Gauntlet, a weekly rotating fixed dungeon that will have you competing for the top spot on the leaderboards. Only the strongest will emerge to claim their place on the weekly leaderboards, the top weekly scores will earn their permanent place in the Hall of the Ancients.
Every World Tier 4 player can complete The Gauntlet and earn their rank, even if they haven’t reached Level 100. All they need to do is complete the Dungeon before the timer runs out and collect rewards as quickly as possible.
The Gauntlet will be set as a fixed nonlinear dungeon that will reset once a week along with Weekly Leaderboards. Instead of normal loot, chests, and enemies will be dropping “Proofs of Might.“ These are essential to the final Weekly Leaderboard position and rewards.

The Gauntlet Leaderboard
Weekly Leaderboards in Diablo 4 will track The Gauntlet scores that can be filtered for Hardcore and Normal characters, party size, and classes. Players will also be able to filter between global players, platforms used, friends, or clan. The best players of each week’s Leaderboard will be recorded in the Hall of Ancients, a permanent Leaderboard.
Everyone competing in The Gauntlet will be able to win different seals depending on their Leaderboard position:
- Seal of the Blooded
- Seal of the Steadfast
