Hello everyone and welcome to another InstantCarry blog post! This time around we’ll take a dive into what we know about Diablo 4 Season 5. Ever since Diablo IV was introduced to the gaming world, there has been a lot of talk about ‘when will it become what we want it to be’, and aside from the initial hype, it seems to have delved deeper and deeper in terms of disappointing it’s fans.

Luckily, Blizzard seems to be working on fixing these issues by bringing in new Seasons ever so often and by giving PTR for the coming Diablo 4 Season 5. This season introduces fresh mechanics, new challenges, and a host of changes aimed at enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Bear in mind that most of these things are still under construction and it’s not definitive whether or not it will be like this. However, more will be revealed in the 21st of June Campfire chat.

Diablo IV what’s in store – story wise

Before we go into what we can expect from Diablo 4 Season 5. We mustn’t fail to mention that it will most likely be the final Season of the ‘1st expansion’. After Diablo IV Season 5 we will most likely get the release of the Diablo IV First Expansion – Vessel of Hatred.

Following Lilith’s downfall we see the return of the the Prime Evil Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, who emerges from the shadows, with ambitions to use Sanctuary’s instability to regain his dominance. The new storyline focuses on deeper explorations into Hell’s influence and the continuing struggle for the soul of Sanctuary.

The Dark Expanse Seasonal Theme

In Diablo 4 Season 5, the dark powers of the Burning Hells are manifesting as Void Rifts, spreading corruption and chaos across Sanctuary. These Void Rifts bring new gameplay mechanics, unique events, and special rewards for those brave enough to face them.

  • Void Rifts: Mysterious portals that spawn throughout Sanctuary, releasing waves of enemies and offering powerful rewards upon closure.
