That aside, this post will focus solely on unlocking the newest addition to the Races in World of Warcraft and that is – The Earthen. Without further ado, lets get into it!

How to Unlock The Earthen Allied Race in The War Within? 

To unlock the Earthen as an Allied Race in The War Within, you must complete the expansion’s level-up campaign along with several specific quest chains related to the Earthen. These quests are marked with a small Earthen Allied Race icon, making them easy to identify on the Quest screen.

Achievement: Allied Races: Earthen

The achievement Allied Races: Earthen outlines the requirements to unlock the Earthen:

• The War Within Campaign: You must complete the entire War Within campaign, including all four chapters at max level. Note that this step cannot be completed during The War Within Early Access.
• Mourning Rise: Finish the questline in the Mourning Rise area on the Isle of Dorn. This starts with the quest Before I Depart and concludes with The Weight of Duty.
• Broken Tools: Complete the questline from Machinist Kittrin in The Ringing Deeps. This starts with Discarded and Broken and ends with Reforged Purpose.
• Merrix and Steelvein: Complete a series of quests in Dornogal, beginning with How Scandalous! and ending with Bad Business.

Will there be an Earthen Recruitment Scenario?

While it’s currently unclear whether there will be a specific recruitment scenario for the Earthen, existing information suggests that such a scenario may be introduced. However, the campaign was bugged on the BETA so we are still not sure, we can only judge from the previous Allied Races and imagine that there will be a scenario of sorts which brings The Earthen into the fold.

When will The Earthen be fully unlockable? 

Since The War Within campaign chapters that are required to unlock The Earthen Allied Race are still not out yet, you will not be able to immediately unlock this race. However, it is expected that on September 3rd, 2024 the final chapter of the campaign will be unlocked and that’s when you will be able to unlock The Earthen Allied Race.

What are the Earthen Racial Traits?

The Earthen racial abilities include:

• Azerite Surge: A powerful ability that allows you to harness Azerite energy. It releases a cone of Fire damage with a 2-minute cooldown. The spell can be further empowered:
  • I: Deals Fire damage.
  • II: Heals allies within the effect.
  • III: Deals additional Fire damage to the highest health enemy hit.
• Hyper Productive: Increases Finesse by 2%, boosting your chances of gathering extra materials.
• Ingest Minerals: Grants a constant Well Fed buff but prevents you from consuming regular food. You can consume a Khaz Algar gem to change the buff’s effect:
  • Amber: Stamina
  • Emerald: Haste
  • Onyx: Mastery
  • Ruby: Critical Strike
  • Sapphire: Versatility
• Titan-Wrought Frame: Increases base armor from equipped items by 10%.
• Wide-Eyed Wonder: Doubles the experience gained from exploring new locations.

How do I get the Earthen Heritage Armor?

Reaching level 50 with an Earthen character without using a leveling boost unlocks the Heritage of the Earthen Feat of Strength and the exclusive Earthen Heritage Armor, which can only be transmogged by Earthen characters.

After the aforementioned unlocking requirements there are a few other things that are worthy of mention.

Which Classes are available to the Earthen?

The Earthen Allied Race has many Classes available to them, those are:

• Hunter
• Mage
• Monk
• Paladin
• Priest
• Rogue
• Shaman
• Warlock
• Warrior

Which Pet do I start off with if I make an Earthen Hunter? 

If you make a Hunter as an Earthen, you will get a Proto Ram pet.

How do I Earn The Earthen Heritage Armor?

To ensure you receive your heritage armor set, avoid the following while leveling your Earthen character:

• Using Character Boost tokens
• Faction or Race changing your Allied character
• Leveling up using Recruit a Friend in-game levels

The Earthen Heritage Armor is cosmetic, meaning it can be transmogged onto any armor type (Cloth, Leather, Mail, or Plate) worn by an Earthen character. The armor set is exclusive to Earthen characters, and four color tints have been datamined, showcasing the armor on both male and female models. How to get the Earthen Allied Race Mount?

The Earthen mount is the Reins of the Slatestone Ramolith. Once unlocked, like other Allied Race mounts, it can be used by any race. This mount is unlocked with the completion of the Allied Races: Earthen achievement.
