Idol of Alira is a Unique Augment in Path of Exile 2 built entirely around Power Charges. Socketed into a Helmet it gives a 15% chance to gain an additional Power Charge whenever a Power Charge is generated — a passive doubling proc that fires on every qualifying charge gain event and accelerates how quickly the Power Charge pool reaches its maximum. Socketed into a Sceptre it redirects Power Charge generation entirely — when you would generate a Power Charge, nearby Allies in your Presence generate that Charge instead, converting personal charge generation into a party support mechanic. The Bonded modifier adds scaling to both applications: Helmet gains +1 to Maximum Power Charges — directly raising the Critical Hit Chance ceiling the character can maintain alongside the doubling proc that fills those charges faster. Sceptre gains 40% increased maximum Energy Shield after recently consuming a Power Charge — rewarding the support-oriented Sceptre application with a substantial personal defensive bonus each time a Charge is spent in the rotation. As with all Idols, socketing is permanent and cannot be undone, only replaced. Limited to 1 per character and requires Level 50. The Idol translates this identity into Path of Exile 2’s Augment system with two distinct approaches to Power Charge enhancement, mirroring the structure of Idol of Oak for Endurance Charges and sharing the same fundamental design — a personal scaling application and a party support application from the same item depending on socket choice.
The Helmet application is designed for crit-focused builds where Power Charges are a primary scaling stat. Power Charges in Path of Exile 2 increase Critical Hit Chance — each charge adds a percentage to the character’s crit rate, making the difference between a build that crits inconsistently and one that crits reliably throughout sustained combat. The 15% double-generation proc on Helmet means the charge pool refills faster after depletion, reducing the time spent at low charges where Critical Hit Chance is weakest. The Bonded +1 to Maximum Power Charges raises the cap being filled — combining both effects means a higher crit ceiling reached more rapidly than any other single Augment slot investment achieves.
