Idol of Oak is a Unique Augment in Path of Exile 2 built entirely around Endurance Charges. Socketed into Boots it gives a 15% chance to gain an additional Endurance Charge whenever an Endurance Charge is generated — a passive doubling proc that fires on every qualifying charge gain event and accelerates how quickly the Endurance Charge pool reaches its maximum. Socketed into a Sceptre it redirects Endurance Charge generation entirely — when you would generate an Endurance Charge, nearby Allies in your Presence generate that Charge instead, converting the player’s charge generation into a party support mechanic. The Bonded modifier adds meaningful scaling to both applications: Boots gains +1 to Maximum Endurance Charges — directly raising the ceiling of Physical Damage Reduction the character can maintain simultaneously with the doubling proc that fills those charges faster. Sceptre gains 40% increased Armour after recently consuming an Endurance Charge — rewarding the support-oriented Sceptre application with a substantial personal defensive bonus each time a Charge is spent in the rotation. As with all Idols, socketing is permanent and cannot be undone, only replaced. Limited to 1 per character and requires Level 50. The Idol translates this identity directly into Path of Exile 2’s Augment system, providing two distinct approaches to Endurance Charge enhancement depending on whether the build wants to maximise personal charge count or distribute charges to allies.
The Boots application is designed for solo or self-sufficient builds that use Endurance Charges as a core defensive resource. Endurance Charges in Path of Exile 2 provide Physical Damage Reduction — each charge reduces the percentage of Physical Damage taken. The 15% double-generation proc on Boots accelerates how quickly the charge pool fills after depletion, reducing downtime at low charge counts where Physical Damage Reduction is weakest.
