About the Path of Exile 2 Stag Idol Service
The Stag Idol is part of the Azmerian Wisps system in Path of Exile 2, dropping from Wisp-possessed monsters from level 35 onwards in both Campaign and Endgame areas. Unlike most other Campaign-accessible Idols, the Stag Idol is limited to 1 per character, placing it closer in rarity feel to the endgame-exclusive Idols despite its lower drop level.
The Helmet version introduces a Fork chance to all projectiles, a 15% chance per projectile to split on hit and travel in two directions, each capable of hitting additional targets. Fork is particularly impactful for builds that fire multiple projectiles simultaneously, as every projectile independently rolls the Fork chance, creating a meaningful spread of secondary hits across groups of enemies. The Bonded Helmet effect amplifies this directly, a 25% chance for an extra projectile at the moment of Forking means that when a projectile does Fork, it has a one-in-four chance to produce three trajectories instead of two, rewarding Shaman Ascendancy projectile builds with even greater hit density.
The Sceptre version adds 1 to 40 flat Lightning Damage to all allied attacks within Presence range. Flat added damage is a strong bonus early in a character’s scaling when total damage is low, and the 1–40 range averages to a meaningful addition for allied attack builds that lack Lightning Damage from their own gear. It applies to every attack made by any ally in range, making it most effective in party compositions with multiple attack characters.
For Shaman Ascendancy characters, the Bonded Sceptre effect grants 40% increased Attack Damage while Shapeshifted, a large personal attack multiplier during Shapeshift forms that makes the Sceptre slot significantly stronger for Druid builds that attack in their transformed state.
