The Aldor vs Scryer decision is one of TBC Classic’s most consequential reputation choices because it is both permanent and immediately impactful. Unlike most reputations where you simply grind to Exalted and collect rewards, choosing Aldor actively gates you out of Scryer rewards for the life of your character — making it a decision that shapes your gearing path, enchant availability, and profession access from the moment you arrive in Shattrath through the final tier of raid content.
The reputation grind itself is heavily concentrated in demon-heavy zones across Outland. Mark of Kil’jaeden farming from weaker demons provides early reputation, while Mark of Sargeras farming from stronger demons carries the bulk of the Honored through Revered grind. Fel Armaments, which drop rarely from elite demons and provide large reputation chunks per turn-in, are the premium currency of Aldor grinding and are often bought from the Auction House to accelerate progress when prices are reasonable.
